Chy Carne Holiday Park Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully as they make up your agreement with us, together with your booking confirmation and the information on our website.
These terms and conditions apply to all booking contracts made with Chy Carne Holiday Park either online, by telephone or through a travel or booking agent.

We understand the ongoing uncertainty of the current situation with Covid19 situation and can not predict what will happen for the rest of 2022. However we would like to assure our customers you can book with confidence at Chy Carne Holiday Park.
In the event that your holiday is impacted by Covid19:
Where we cannot provide the service by the agreed time because of Covid19 or associated operational restrictions, such as park closure, occupancy restrictions or local travel restrictions. We will give you as much notice as possible and you will be entitled to a full refund and cancellation or we will try to rebook your stay in the future.
In the event that you are unable to attend your holiday at Chy Carne Holiday Park because of Covid19 or associated travel restrictions, including in the form of government guidance, in circumstances where we are able to comply with our obligations, please contact immediately with supporting documents. We will be able to offer you new dates for your stay in the future when it is safe for you to do so. This will only apply if we are given 7 days notice prior to your arrival.
(Please note where a date change has occurred, extra charges may be applicable if the date moved to is more expensive than the date originally booked).
Chy Carne Holiday Park do not sell holiday insurance, but we strongly advise our customers to make arrangements to take out the necessary cover. Often your credit or debit card company will cover some or all of the circumstances which may lead to a cancellation of a holiday, but its best to check and if not make alternative arrangements.
Chy Carne Holiday Park work in partnership with Booking Protect, a third party organisation that offer a refund protection cover. By booking a holiday you have entered into a legally binding contract with the owner of the holiday park that you have booked. The deposit and extras you have paid for are non-refundable from the point of booking; so it makes sense to protect your investment, just as you would with an international holiday. Once you have paid the balance for your holiday that too is non-non-refundable.

We will do our very best to accommodate special requests, please let us know when placing your booking if you have any specific requirements.
Specific Pitches or Pitches booked “together”.
We take many bookings where guests request specific pitches or pitches together. While we will do our very best to accommodate such requests we can not guarantee this 100% of the time, but we do try!!
Specific pitches can be reserved, however , we reserve the right to re-allocate pitches on arrival if required subject to weather and ground conditions.
Tents and caravans etc must be sited to the middle of each pitch so that a vehicle and awning can go either side.
Due to fire regulations, relating to unit separations the size of the unit booked must be stipulated at the time of booking to ensure the pitch booked is large enough. In circumstances where the unit size caravan, motor home or tent of any size etc including awnings or gazebos exceeds that of the pitch booked We reserve the right to require the rearrangement of pitch equipment or to relocate or refuse accommodation which may not be refundable.
Duration of stay
We ask that any booking during August on any pitch is for a minimum of 3 nights. All pitches for any duration for 3 nights or longer must be booked and paid for in full one calendar month before arrival date. We also require all bookings to be paid for in advance to guarantee a pitch if the arrival date is less than one calendar month before your arrival date.
There is no guarantee that pitch bookings can be extended beyond the dates already booked.
Changes to bookings
Telephone alterations to booked holiday dates must be confirmed by email. We ask guests to notify us of any date changes to bookings at least 7 days prior to arrival. We can not however guarantee that we can accommodate such request but will in that event offer a suitable alternative where ever possible.
Payment on Arrival
For Guests that have not booked are required to pay the balance for their duration on arrival at reception before pitching.
Cancellation Of Booking
If you need to move the dates of your booking, we will need one calendar month notice to do so and confirmed by email.
Chy Carne Holiday Park do not offer a refund policy, however we work with Booking Protect, a third party organisation that offer a refund protection scheme. We strongly advise our customers to take cover on your holiday.
Once you have made a booking and paid your deposit, it is non-refundable. In the event you need to cancel your booking and you added Booking Protect to your booking please contact them directly.
Booking Protect is available through Chy Carne Holiday Park to provide you with a refund for cancellation in certain circumstances. We recommend you include this option in order to get a refund for the cost of your holiday should you or anyone in the party be unable to attend for a reason covered by Booking Protect Terms & Conditions.
Booking Protect can be added at the time of booking whether it is made via the website or by calling Chy Carne Holiday Park anytime up until the final balance is paid. It can not be purchased once the booking is paid for in full. We recommend taking out Booking Protect at the point of booking, so you and anyone else you have booked with are immediately protected.
The cost of Booking Protect Refund Guarantee is 6% of the total value of your booking.
The balance of your holiday is due one calendar month prior to arrival, please note if the balance has not been received w reserve the right to cancel your booking and reallocate your pitch.
Once a booking has been made the deposit cannot be refunded under any circumstances by Chy Carne Holiday Park should you subsequently cancel your holiday.
Once on-site refunds cannot be given if for any reason you cut your holiday short.
Camping and touring pitches are available from 2pm on the day of arrival. If you are delayed on your journey, please let us know as soon as possible by telephoning our reception on 01326 290200. We reserve the right to re- let your pitch if you have not contacted us or arrived by 8pm. No refunds will be due for non-arrivals.
We reserve the right to delay check-in.
Arrival & Departure
Camping and touring Pitches are available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Reserved pitches will be held until 8pm on the day of arrival. If you are delayed on your journey, please let us know as soon as possible by telephoning our reception on 01326 290200. We reserve the right to re- let your pitch if you have not contacted us or arrived by 8pm. No refunds will be due for non-arrivals.
We reserve the right to delay check-in.
Vacating your pitch
ALL pitches must be vacated by 11am unless by prior arrangement. We reserve the right to charge for an extra night for late departures unless by prior agreement. If you would like to leave later than 12pm, please speak to us beforehand – a further charge may be required.
If you are expecting visitors, please inform us in advance of their arrival, and provide us with a car registration number if possible. Please inform us if your visitors have dogs if so they are to be kept under the same control as clients dogs. We reserve the right to make a small charge for day visitors.
Dogs are to be kept on a lead and under control at all times whilst on the site. Outside our peak periods dogs may be exercised, off leads in our Summer Camping field. At other times you may use the large field that is adjacent to our holiday park. Any responsible owner allowing their dog to continually foul the site without cleaning up after them may be asked to leave the site without refund. Any accidental dog fouling must be cleaned up immediately. Please use the dog bins that have been provided around the site. PETS MUST NOT BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN ANY UNIT. Dogs (except guide dogs) are not allowed in any of the buildings, inc toilet/shower blocks, laundrette etc. But dogs are permitted into the Marquee arms ( Bar ) providing they are kept on a lead at all times
Dogs must be pre-booked and a charge applies, Chy Carne reserves the right to refuse certain breeds of dogs that it deems inappropriate on a family site
Dogs are not permitted to stay in cars overnight or to be left in cars unattended for any duration that would be considered to be harmful to there health
Litter and tied bin sacks must be placed in the bins provided Rubbish must not be left outside caravans,tents etc.
All children must be kept under adult supervision whilst using play the equipment. Please remember that your children safety is YOUR responsibility.
Selling of Alcohol on-site
We only sell alcohol to persons 18 or over Proof of age is required We reserve the right to refuse the sale of alcohol without a approved form of identification such as a passport, photo driving license or valid identification card.
These are allowed by permission only and must be pitched as directed.
We allow 1 car per pitch, extra cars may be charged for and may need to be parked away from the pitch.
There is no charge for pulling vehicles, units or equipment off pitches but its at the owners risk
ONLY FULLY QUALIFIED AND INSURED DRIVERS ARE PERMITTED TO DRIVE VEHICLES WHILST ONSITE, ANYONE BREAKING THIS RULE WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.
In the circumstances where a customers own vehicle or equipment is involved in an accident or incident Chy Carne reserves the right to close or restrict access to areas affected and salvage or remove vehicles or equipment at its discretion. In circumstances where an accident or incident was caused by a customer or anyone in the booked party or by their vehicle or equipment the owner will indemnify Chy Carne or its agents against all damage, claims, costs, demands, acts or omissions whatsoever arising and make reparation to Chy Carne any resultant costs, damages or losses ( consequential or otherwise) relating thereto.
Please drive at a walking pace whilst on site. (Speed limit 7 mph) please remember that Children will be playing.
Kite flying is not permitted within the static caravans area or where overhead cables are present.
Ball games are only permitted on the camping and touring areas
Vehicles must not be parked on pathways and must not cause an obstruction to other users of the site.
Please familiarize yourself with the nearest fire safety point and equipment around the park. (Red fire points).
The right is reserved to refuse admittance or to terminate the visit of any person or persons whose conduct is considered detrimental to Chy Carne Holiday Park or to other visitors.We will not tolerate any abusive behavior towards other holiday makers or our staff. Any abusive behavior will result in you being ask to leave the site forthwith. No refunds will be due if we have to terminate your holiday/visit.
The owners will not accept any responsibility or liability in respect of any injury or damage to any person or the property of any person using the site howsoever caused or sustained or facilities becoming unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control
Please inform us of any problems that occur during your stay as we regret that we cannot rectify complaints once you have left the park.
Fire Pits / Baskets & Chimineas
Absolute care must always be taken when using this type of equipment on site. Children under 16 must NOT be left unattended at ANY time near a lit fire Please ensure that you know where the nearest fire point is located before you light your fire. Please remember that all Fire pits / Baskets / chimineas will remain very hot for sometime after use. Please ensure that your children are aware of these dangers. If possible please ensure that the fire is extinguished by using water when not attended. Please do not remove any wood from around the site, we have large bags of logs available to purchase from our onsite shop.
We encourage people to enjoy the outdoor life style. We appreciate that sometimes its easy to forget that noise can travel at night and ask that noise is kept as low as possible and that you are always respectful to your neighbors. Our staff do regular patrols around the site, if noise is deemed to be to excessive our staff will advise you accordingly. No loud music please.
We do not allow the use of portable generators on the park without consent.
We will remove people from the site that continually cause a nuisance to others.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE DUE IF YOU ARE ASKED TO LEAVE.
Please remember that July & August are our busiest months, if you like it quiet and peaceful, then please come out of season, when we are a quiet and relaxing site However please note that many of our facilities will not be open
We will not accept any liability for any lost or stolen property.
Only accepted by prior agreement.
For safety we only permit electric hook-up leads that comply to BS6500 and BS4343 standard. We do not allow home made leads with an extension socket. This pictured here are an example of what is acceptable.
Only approved electric leads with built in circuit breakers are permitted. For safety we reserve the right to disconnect your electric lead from our electric hook up if the correct lead is not being used.
